NFL Stars Coming To Israel Next Week, Will Be Baptized In The River Jordan
A delegation of NFL stars will arrive in Israel on February 13 for a seven-day visit, during which they will meet with a wide range of Israelis from different walks of life. The 11 athletes will visit Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Haifa, and Christian sites in the Galilee. They plan to be baptized the River Jordan at Yardenit.

The visiting players will hold an exhibition match in Jerusalem with the Israeli Football team on Saturday evening, February 18. The American side will include Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett, defensive ends for the Seattle Seahawks; New England Patriots’ tight end Martellus Bennett; tight end for the Tennessee Titans Delanie Walker; Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Kendricks; defensive end for the New Orleans Saints Cameron Jordan; wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins Kenny Stills; defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals Calais Campbell, San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde; defensive tackle for the Oakland Raiders Dan Williams; and Denver Broncos running back Justin Forsett. Also included: ESPN commentator and former Buffalo Bills linebacker Kirk Morrison (at least one New Yorker!).

I recognize some of the names, to get baptized, good; but that sounds like a Christian group must be sponsoring this, not the NFL.
There is another story in the press on this; it may not discuss baptism, that's overtly religious in this vein.
