High School Students Are Picking Colleges Based On Their Campus Carry Policies

by staffwriter10 · Published February 3, 2017

More U.S. states are seeing fast paced and furious patterns of those who advocate for gun control trying to do away with gun free zones, especially on college campuses. Eleventh Hour, which attempts to eradicate Second Amendment rights, are in the works but as Wichita, Kansas Sen. Oletha Faust-Goudeau (D) recently discovered, most of these attempts will never even advance to the floor.

FOX 4 Kansas City News spoke with students on their thoughts, including Andrew Lee, a student at St. James Academy.

“I’ve spoke to a lot of people that I go to school with, and that I will go to school with next year at the University of Kansas and they have said they have based their decision to go that university specifically because of the conceal carry laws,” Lee said.

Interesting this would be a driving point for the choice, since most college students are under 21 and cannot carry a handgun anyways.
