Obama might be facing some harsh questioning in the near future, as the Inspector General has announced an investigation into the DHS-linked cyber attacks on the Georgia Election System.

I honestly don’t know whether I would just prefer for him to disappear from the limelight altogether, or if I would like to watch him squirm under the pressure of a Trump administration pounding.

This is a good problem to have.

Ok, maybe it's my bad eyesight, but I don't see in the article where it's mentioned that Obama himself will be targeted in this investigation.  The headline doesn't seem to match the content.

That said, this investigation is most welcome.

Whatever faults are found are then given to the owner with recommendations on how to fix them.  (it's better to be proactive and find/fix the faults BEFORE a malicious threat appears)

I'm pretty sure DHS would notify the organization being tested that the mock cyber attack will occur.  If for no other reason than to prevent what is going on now.

In my 30 years of government work, I've never heard of a test of a system, performed without notifying the system owner that the test will be run.  Security can't be revamped in a few hours or even days.  You just tell the owner that the test needs to be kept secret so that we get a real picture of readiness.  If the cyber attack looked like an act of war would you really want to missiles to start flying?
