I also heard this is Salafist Muslims killing civilians by the pro-Iran side.

In general, we do have a lot less of this, practically nothing from Shiite Muslims. Just general attacks on innocent civilians...

Though, there drawback is that they do attack Israel; engage in wars nonetheless.

So, it is something for the experts.

Court officials in Quebec City identified the suspects as Alexandre Bissonnette and Mohamed El Khadir. They were to be arraigned Monday afternoon.

Police descended on homes and other sites around Quebec City hunting for information in what they described as a large and ongoing investigation. They said surveillance of mosques around Quebec has been stepped up.

Two suspects arrested in deadly Quebec mosque terror attack

Only one of the two men arrested in the minutes after the terror attack at a mosque in Quebec City is a suspect, police revealed Monday, saying the other man they handcuffed was a witness.

The lone suspect was identified as Alexandre Bissonnette, a student at the nearby Laval University, a law enforcement source told Reuters.

Police initially named Mohamed el Khadir as a second suspect, The Associated Press reported, before cops apparently backtracked.

White university student Alexandre Bissonnette has been named as the sole suspect accused of killing six men at Quebec City mosque.

Bissonnette, who is in his late twenties, was arrested alongside Moroccan-Canadian Mohamed el Khadir on Sunday night after six men were slaughtered at the Quebec City Islamic Cultural Center during evening prayers.

On Monday afternoon, Sûreté du Québec confirmed one of the men was no longer facing charges.

Actually, part of the theme of that Oliver Stone movie "Savior" is this guy gets upset after his wife and child are killed in an Islamic terror attack (in Paris or NY?) and he goes in and shoots up a Mosque.

 Not long after publishing a grave warning of the consequences of “fake news,” the Daily Beast news website fell for a fake report claiming two “white supremacists” were in custody after the mosque shooting in Quebec on Sunday in which six people were killed.

The news site picked up on a fake news story spread by a parody Twitter account that it mistook for the newswire Reuters, Breitbart News reported.

The Daily Beast reported: “Police said two suspects were in custody after the attack. They were identified as white supremacists ‘David M. J. Aurine’ and ‘Mathieu Fornier,’ according to Reuters. This is not the first time the mosque has suffered from a hate crime. In July, a pig’s head was left at the mosque.”

The suspected shooter who carried out a massacre of Muslims praying at a mosque in Quebec, Canada is a strong supporter of far-right U.S. President Donald Trump and a right-wing extremist, according to his former classmates, acquaintances, and social media accounts.

During evening prayers on Sunday, January 29, a gunman opened fire in the Quebec Islamic Cultural Center, killing six worshipers and injuring 19 more. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the shooting as a "terrorist attack on Muslims."

The suspected assailant, 27-year-old Alexandre Bissonnette, is a white Canadian who has expressed far-right, anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, anti-feminist, and pro-Israel views.

"He really liked Trump and had a permanent grudge against the left," explained Éric Debroise, who knew Bissonnette and contacted the police after the attack. (Quotes are original translations from French.)

The suspected shooter's politics are "very right-wing and ultra-nationalist white supremacist," Debroise told the local newspaper Le Journal de Quebec.

"He has right-wing, pro-Israel, anti-immigration political ideas," Jean-Michel Allard-Pru, another classmate, said of Bissonnette, who was a student at Laval University.

Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail reported that the suspected shooter "was known in the city's activist circles as a right-wing troll who frequently took anti-foreigner and anti-feminist positions and stood up for U.S. President Donald Trump."

François Deschamps, who runs a refugee support page on Facebook, told the publication that Bissonnette was an abusive far-right internet troll "who made frequent extreme comments in social media denigrating refugees and feminism."

Multiple people who knew Bissonnette linked him to the far-right, nationalist, racist "Identitarian" movement, which is on the rise in Europe and North America.
