Maryland golf club will extend invitation to Obama, despite objections

A suburban Washington golf club in Maryland is extending former President Barack Obama an offer to join its ranks, despite protest from some members over his administration's policies toward Israel.

 

In a letter to club members on Monday, Woodmont Country Club President Barry Forman announced that the club would extend an offer for the Obamas to apply, arguing that refusing to do so on political grounds would violate the club’s longstanding tradition of welcoming members "who were excluded elsewhere because of their beliefs."

Just wait until the other members have tee times cancelled or delayed to accommodate the security detail surrounding 44.
