Scratch the Obamas off Amy Blagojevich's Christmas card list.

Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's 20-year-old daughter on Thursday wrote an angry open letter to former President Barack Obama, saying she lost respect for him after he declined to commute her father's 14-year federal prison sentence before he left office.

"Everyone seems to be mourning your exit from office," Amy wrote in the lengthy screed, posted on her mom Patti's Facebook page. "I'm glad you're gone. I'm not delusional — you're not a saint. You were a mediocre president with unoriginal ideas."

The millennial mindset, in one letter.

Never mind that her father was duly convicted of corruption. Nay, because her daddy had to go to jail and didn't get a favor from the President, he's a big fat meanie. It's a temper tantrum, no more, no less. She is so steeped in the corruption and bribery racket of Illinois that she can't even see what her father did was wrong.

I don't know. She seems to have Obama's number down pretty good....

Agreed with this, but she is wrong. For Obama to pardon blagojevich would be a very bad precedent.


His regular pardons were bad enough.
