WHIP LIST: How many Dems will back Sessions?

The question isn't whether Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) will win confirmation. It's how many Democratic votes will he win.

Barring a surprise, Sessions is going to be the nation's next attorney general, as no Republicans are expected to oppose him.

GOP lawmakers are confident that he will be able to easily clear the upper chamber after undergoing a grilling from his colleagues during a hearing that spanned more than 10 hours.

How many votes come from his Democratic colleagues is a bigger question. Here's a look at the key senators who are worth watching.

WHIP LIST: Will a Republican oppose Tillerson?

Rex Tillerson's shaky performance at his confirmation hearing is raising questions about how many votes he'll win on the floor.

No Republicans are opposing his nomination so far, but all eyes are on Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) haver his tough questioning of the former Exxon CEO.

Here is a list of which senators could break with their party over Tillerson’s nomination. The Hill will update this list continually.

Republicans who will oppose Tillerson (0)

No Republican has publicly stated that they will buck Trump’s State Department pick.

This more than any other reason are why I will never vote for a modern Democrat. There is not one among them who will vote for principal over party.

Isn't Sessions a big advocate of the forfeiture laws without due process for the drug war? I have a big problem with that.
