On Tuesday, Judge José Cabranes, who sits on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, published a towering defense of academic freedom in the opinions section of The Washington Post.

Judge Cabranes—a highly respected jurist as well as a former trustee of Yale, Columbia, and Colgate universities—has been sounding the alarm about threats to academic freedom for years now. They are indeed 'eating their own' on campuses these days.

If its gonna stop the left will have to toss out every tool they currently have in their rhetorical toolbox they've been using to squelch dissent and encourage truly free and open dialogue. But unfortunately for them that will cause them to have to re-think their entire worldview.

And thats not gonna happen.
