I have a ton of respect for Ted Cruz, @Bigun

This election season called for brash....punch-in-the mouth style...in order to appeal to the Blue Dogs that crossed over.

Yes, it did @DCPatriot   But what a lot of folks fail to see is that voters liked Donald Trump ... he talked to them not at them, he spoke for them and he had an understanding of their concerns that others running on both sides of the aisle did not.

No one other than Donald Trump could have rallied people across blue lines and red lines as Trump did ... so no one other than Donald Trump could have won this election against Hillary Clinton and her MSM.

I thought this thread was about John Lewis.

Another thread on TBR devolves into nothing but another urinating contest.

Thank God my Zags are the last undefeated NCAA men's hoops team in the country.

I can't put everyone on ignore, so I'll see y'all in a couple of weeks.

If I'm not repeating what someone else has already said, Lewis is the one who also said the tea party used the n-word against him, Breitbart put up $100,000 to anyone who had proof of this and it was never paid out. Lewis also claims he was spat at by the tea party. All of this, I heard on Larry Elder, Lewis deserves his credit which can not be taken away but these other things speak for themselves, he also skipped Bush's nomination, one of them I guess.

IIRC it allegedly happened when he and Stretch Pelosi and some other members of the CBC did their perp walk who the steps at the Capitol to sign Obamacare into law. There were claims they were spit on too.

Amazing that all of the video cameras that were present and NONE of them picked up the audio of this happening.

Andrew's money remain safely tucked in his back account.

I'm on Trump's side with this.

Never Trumpers are all over Twitter excoriating Trump and his supporters for not paying deference to this guy. As if he's untouchable.

He's an old fuddy duddy who never smiles resting on his laurels who hasn't done anything since he's been elected.

Trump's legitimate; he's just dumb as a rock.

That's my view.   I hope I'm wrong, but his obsessiveness and failure to listen to counsel will, I'm afraid, be his undoing.

This inauguration season has been very strange for me.   This die-hard politico feels detached and uninterested.   I have nothing whatsoever invested in the man.  My brother-in-law has been trying to get me to sign up - he knows my knowledge of the ACA would be helpful to the administration.   I don't want Trump to fail, but his people aren't my people and I'm too old to run off and join the circus.

Agree 100%. I actually voted for him, so it would be nice for him to succeed, but my expectations are low. Hopefully I'm wrong.
