What difference does it make? The kid isn't a member of Congress. He didn't ask for this. Whether or not he's autistic, maybe he can't handle being front and center in front of the whole world.
Because there are certain times as a member of a family unit that you should do things that you may not want to do to show support for another family member. This is one of those times. Barron will never be able to get these memories back. Children don't ask for a lot of things but that is life. They don't get to choose what they want to do and what they don't, especially something as important as this. Otherwise very few children would get up in the morning and go to school or church or tons of other things they don't want to do.
I don't care what members of Congress go or don't go. They are minimally adult and get to decide if they want to be aholes or no.
