German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel calls for ban on Islamist mosques

Social Democrats leader and German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel has called for tougher measures against Islamist trends in Germany. His demands come just weeks after the "Islamic State"-claimed terror attack in Berlin.

In an interview with German weekly Der Spiegel, German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel said that "Salafist mosques must be banned, communities dissolved, and the preachers should be expelled as soon as possible."

"Those who encourage violence do not enjoy the protection of religious freedom," the leader of the Social Democrats (SPD) added, stressing that he had "zero tolerance" in combating Islamism.

The teaching, as we saw again in Fort Lauderdale is just dangerous teaching. The Japanese are correct, this kind of discipline should not be allowed to grow and Islam captured, colonized, so much of it's empire 700 years or more ago or so in places like Indonesia and so on and tried to do it in Spain.

Catholic Churches have had at least, charges brought up against them in a few places for being a public nuisance over the pedophilia issue, I don't write that as a slam on the church, it's just a fact.

Islam or at least, tenants of it, preach to go out killing people, we've seen that since most of us were children, obviously, this is against the safety and well-being of the public.

In virtually all Muslim nations, this is happening. Maybe places like Malaysia or Singapore have little of it but other countries are in ruins over this, Nigeria, Turkey, Syria, Iraq and so on.

Imprecise journalism.  The Vice Chancellor called for the closure of salafist mosques and the expulsion of their preachers.  This is quite correct and reasonable:  it is salafism (the tendency -- it's too loose to be called a sect -- within Sunni Islam that regards the salaf, the companions of Mohammed, as having established the ideal society and wants to establish a copy of that 7th century society's laws and mores worldwide) that is in a hot war with the West.  Both the Daesh (IS) and Al Qaeda are salafist organizations.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

What versions of Islamic teaching who's goals do not generally include building such a theocratic society? Honest question - if there are sects which do not advocate Sharia over forms of government indigenous to the countries the happen to be located in I'd like to know.

Germany's Islamist scene growing: security chief
January 8, 2017

Berlin (AFP) - Germany's domestic security chief warned Sunday that the country's radical Islamist scene is not only growing, but becoming more decentralised, posing greater challenges to surveillance operations.

In an interview with national news agency DPA, Hans-Georg Maassen also defended security officials under fire after it emerged that Berlin truck attack suspect Anis Amri had slipped through their net, saying they had done everything they could.

Overall, the number of Salafists -- or fundamentalist Sunni Muslims -- in Germany has risen to more than 9,700, sharply up from 3,800 people in 2011, said Maassen.

"It's of great concern to us that this scene is not only growing, but it is also very diversified. There is not just one, two, three or four people who have a say," he warned.

From my limited knowledge, I think the Salafists are much more dangerous from reading all of these things though the Shia religion poses dangers as well and they are sworn enemies to Israel.

Iran is allied with Hezbollah; terrorists.

There is also that theory about Iran wanting the 8th Imam I think and the question as to whether Iran should have nuclear weapons is probably a little different than as to whether Iranian refugees at that, pose a great risk.

Well, there are the Ismailis who follow the Aga Khan, and regard jihad (in the usual sense of warfare against non-Muslims) as permissible only at the direction of the Aga Khan, something recent Aga Khans show no inclination toward.  The last was educated at Eton and Cambridge, the current one at Harvard, and their avocation of thoroughbred horse breeding seems to occupy them a good deal more than political matters.  The Aga Khans participated in British-established legislative councils during the British Raj, and the previous one had numerous knighthoods from the British Empire.  The current Aga Khan is a friend of Gov. Rick Perry, which accounts for Perry having a blind-spot when considering the broad picture of Islam and Islamic radicalism.

There is also the tiny Qu'ran-only movement.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.
