Most historians suggest the middle east was a weigh-point for goods coming and going on the silk road - And it probably was to a great degree... It is inconceivable to modern historians that frieght would move from the Celtic North all the way to China - notwithstanding Tartan-clad, red-haired mummies in China...
Similar to flatly ignoring bowls with Sumerian writing found in Mayan or Aztec temples, Egyptian mummies with traces of marijuana and cocaine... Denying trans-continental/trans-oceanic trade...
