    Police in upstate New York responded to a caller who reported seeing a woman who had 'frozen to death' in the small town of Hudson
    Officers smashed the car window only to discover it was in fact a plastic mannequin
    The owner said it he used it as a medical training aid
    The owner of the car was upset that police had smashed up his car in the course of the 'rescue'
    Police confirmed that if they think a human is trapped in a vehicle, they will break into it

Police in New York broke a car window to rescue a woman who turned out to be an extremely realistic mannequin.

The unusual incident happened Friday morning in the city of Hudson in upstate New York.

The Times Union of Albany reports that a caller told police there was an elderly woman 'frozen to death' in a parked car, covered in frost and snow

OK............... seems like the "owner" is a jerk.

Why does he have the woman strapped in a parked car, and why is he upset that the police tried to rescue her?

Seems almost like a practical joke gone wrong.
