Isn't all eating compulsive?

The fear of starvation compels me to eat.

Tonight it compelled me to eat two plates of spaghetti.

I'm envious. I'd give anything to eat pasta. :(

I just can't fathom how anybody can eat more than five or six hot dogs with buns at one sitting. I've seen those 4th of July hot dog eating contests, and it's almost repulsive. How anybody stuff 50-60 hot dogs down their gullets without vomiting is beyond me.

Why? Is Italian food illegal where you live?

These are some of the finest, most highly trained athletes in the world. Men - and women - of truly rare talent.  It is a disgrace that the Olympics has not yet included this sport as medal-worthy.

I almost choked to death eating  a hot dog when I was a little kid of 8 years old-literally seconds from death.  Whenever I see those hot dog eating contest it makes me sick. I won't watch them as I can still remember the hot dog stuck  in my throat and if I eat one I make sure I chew it well or i cut it into pieces.

My wife is 5-7 130 lbs skinny as a rail.   She eats 3500-4000 calories per day to keep her weight.  She eats one of those frozen ice cream  pies by herself every 2 days.

She heats up and eats an entire large Digornio pizza by herself in one sitting.

We eat at Denny most Sunday mornings.she gulps down large patch of pancakes, entire grand slam breakfast, toast etc

High metabolism.   Her mom was the same way.

No cholestral issues and no HBP either.  On zero meds except takes mild hormones for post menopausel stuff.

I am overweight due to my wife-her always having crap food around. Started my diet 2 weeks ago. Don't eat too few calories or you will permantly  damage/slow your metabolism.

I'm a big man. In addition, there is a really good hot dog place located by my old apartment in boston.

At my hungriest, like after not eating all day, I could down 4 dogs, tops, before feeling "pukey".

@mirraflake, has your wife had her blood sugar checked?  She's eating huge amounts of carbohydrates and is extremely thin...that same thing sent a relative of mine to the doctor, where he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.  He was active, had no family history, but ingesting so many carbs and sugar made his insulin levels spike up and down all the time, and finally damaged his pancreas.  Seriously, eating like that is not good.

Oh, for the days of my youth...so skinny I had to run around in the shower to get wet. Ate ravenously and never got fat. Now I so much as glance at a piece of pie or cake, the fat starts accumulating. 8888crybaby

@Lol...yep, middle age impacts the metabolism, for sure.  And guys have faster ones than women, as a rule.  🍔🍟🍕🌭🍰

If a person is needing to eat huge amounts of food just to avoid dropping weight, especially in middle age, though, it bears checking out.

I've made lasagna with zucchini instead of pasta.  Quite good.  Lots of other recipies out there for other dishes.  If you can still ear zucchini.

90% of what I eat has to be protein. It's really a pain. So many foods I use to eat I can't eat anymore, my stomach won't let me.

She is fine has a yearly exam each year. She eats mostly healthy food. I made it sounds like all she eats is junk food. Very high metabolism. Her mom and brother same way.
