Rick Perry, the former governor of oil-rich Texas who once vowed to eradicate the Energy Department if elected president, is Donald Trump's pick for energy secretary, US media reported.

The Texas native, who participated in the Republican primary but was crushed by President-elect Trump early on, was seen Monday afternoon entering and exiting Trump Tower in Manhattan.

Has there been an announcement yet from Trump?  If not, more speculation.  Trump's propaganda machine is working overtime to keep him constantly in the news.  I'm getting sick of him already and he hadn't even be sworn in yet. Going to be a long 4 years.

I don't know if Perry would be qualified for the job.  But it would be interesting if, after supporting Ted Cruz, we find out that Perry is groveling before Trump just to get a job in his administration.  If nothing else, this election has revealed an alarming number of butt kissers willing to throw away their integrity and principles to be a part of this sorry administration.
