MARAWI CITY , Philippines, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- An improvised explosive device injured seven people in President Rodrigo Duterte's advance party Tuesday morning in Marawi City, Philippines, military officials said.

The group of about 50 people -- members of the Presidential Security Group, the Presidential Broadcast Staff and military escorts -- was entering Marawi City in a convoy when the bomb exploded. Duterte was not in the convoy but was expected to travel to the city Wednesday.
