Willie Rogers, the last surviving member of the original Tuskegee Airmen, died this week at the age of 101.

Drafted into the Army in 1942, Rogers was a member of the 100th Air Engineer Squad, and also served with the Red Tail Angels. He was wounded in action by German soldiers, suffering a bullet wound in his stomach and leg in 1943.
