MEXICO’S richest people have lost enough money since the US election to build Donald Trump’s controversial border wall.

The world’s richest people lost £44 billion ($56bn) as a result of Trump’s shock win, Bloomberg has reported.

The victory caused jitters in markets around the globe, with no-one quite sure what some of his far-fetched campaign promises are going to mean for them.

The markets are being hit the hardest in Mexico, where apprehension looms over Trump’s pledge to build a wall on the US-Mexico border and to send Mexican migrants packing.

The 10  richest Mexican billionaires dropped a combined £5.2bn (US$6.5bn) with the richest of them, Carlos Slim, losing £4bn of his £14bn fortune (US5.1bn) – enough to pay for the construction of the wall.

When you see the NY Times, well, this Mexican Billionaire who has been the world's richest is one of the NYT's biggest shareholders.

Maybe Mr. George Lopez should be worried more about these types. Mexico has the wealth to have a high standard of living.
