He knows his stuff, I could support him. But NO unnecessary wars!
This is just what I was saying about him yesterday. He's talking like a pundit, not a prospective Secretary of State. The skill sets don't overlap all that much.
As a prospective SoS, what's the point of him saying this in public? It unnecessarily aggravates US/Russia relations at a time where the president is ill-suited to dealing with the fallout.
That said, he's almost certainly correct about what the Russians (among others) will do, because not only does it have short term benefits, but it also confronts Trump with significant difficulties that his SoS is going to have to untangle.
