Secret Service Blocks Michael Moore from Seeing Trump

Filmmaker Michael Moore was turned away by the Secret Service on Saturday as he tried to make an unexpected visit to President-elect Donald Trump in New York.

Moore called Trump an "illegitimate president" as he entered the Trump Tower skyscraper in midtown, which serves as the primary residence of the incoming president. He was stopped by security on the fourth floor, ABC News reported.

As he entered the building Moore had told reporters the president-elect "does not have the vote of the people" because the Trump won in the electoral college, but not the popular vote.

Just before reaching the fourth floor, he conceded: "I didn’t think I'd get this far."

Moore had asked for a meeting with Trump, but was told by a Secret Service agent: "You'd have to check with his staff," ABC News said.

USA Today reported Moore was wearing a red San Francisco 49ers hat and carrying a smartphone to film a Facebook Live broadcast, the newspaper

Moore, who had publicly predicted Trump would win, left a note with the doorman for Trump.

"Mr. Trump I'm here. I want to talk to you," the note read, according to the newspaper.

The Popular Vote Myth Explained


Votes are counted until there is no reason to count any more votes.
Not every vote is counted.
A calculation is done based on the number of unknown uncounted votes available.
If the gap between the two candidates is more than the number of unknown uncounted votes available then the count is halted as there is no point to continue.


Total number of votes entered = 1999
Candidate X has 1000 votes
Candidate Y has 900 votes
Uncounted Votes = 99
The counting is halted and the 99 votes remain unknown and uncounted because there is no longer any point in counting them.


Did candidate X actually have 1099 votes?
Did candidate Y actually have 999 votes?
We will never know.


The next time some frickin' idiot tells you that Hillary won the Popular Vote, just explain to him that he is a fool and does not know what he is talking about.


Since not all votes are actually counted, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW WHO WON THE POPULAR VOTE!


Our tallying system simply doesn't work that way for Presidential elections.

I'm not completely sure, but I think that you are incorrect about that. Once all issues on the ballot are resolved. The counting stops. What would be the point?


Maybe it is done differently from State to State.


The idea of the tally is not to count votes. It is to resolve the ballot. Counting votes is a means to an end, and not a goal in and of itself.


Once the ballot is definitively resolved. We're done.


But I want to know more. I would be interested to hear what you have to say about this.

I also read that once the count in the state has one winning the absentee ballots left are not counted unless the number was enough that it could change the outcome. They also said a majority of the absentee this election had been for Trump and that is why some were calling the popular vote if they bothered to actually count it would go to Trump so all this talk about her winning the popular vote is mute. All they care about is the Electoral college vote and I agree that is all that matters.He did an excellent job he got 306 electoral votes and that is what counts.
