Nothing says "Drain the Swamp" like 40 year Washington Insider Newt Gingrich.
Contract with America, first GOP House in 70 years, first balanced budget since Ike. Newt is one of the few good guys. You, not so much.

And now we'll see how well his supporters hold the anti Goldman Sachs candidate's feet to the fire when he hires GS veteran Steven Mnuchin.

There is a hell of a difference between Goldman Sachs collectively and a specific individual who works for Goldman Sachs.

For appointing Ted Cruz? Oh I think that would cause a shitstorm among liberals like you haven't seen.

The Leftist will spin off the rails with whomever the GOP nominates. Might as well go big and fight like hell.

So Heidi Cruz is ok, now?   :chairbang:

@Frank Cannon @Night Hides Not

Seems to be a rapidly emerging trend to backtrack on all things trump.

Everybody else is owned by evil Goldman Sachs except Trump if he names a GS bigwig to treasury secretary.

Hillary Clinton needs to go to prison unless there's a possibility that Trump won't pursue her. If he lets her walk it just shows how classy and compassionate he is to let a sickly grandmother slide on a crime years old.

She isn't, but it is not about her Goldman job. It is because she is ugly. Donny told us that in the Primaries.

Yeah he's gotten a proven record but he's pretty long in the tooth. Especially worried after the couch incident with Pelosi, I think he's lost some of his old fire. That said, Trump could do worse.

I thought the SC was about loyalty to the Constitution?

In jpsb's eyes Loyalty to Trump trumps that pesky constitution.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

I loved the 2012 debate when in the course of five minutes Newt accused Clinton of taking credit for a balanced budget that never happened (which is true), then claimed credit for it himself.

I'd like to see Perry as Defense Secretary...

Perry is much more...um...politically accomodative than you might realize.

Newt as prospectve SoS **nononono* . Bolton would be much better choice, IMHO.

But Corker would be the responsible choice.  Gingrich is a lightning rod, and Bolton is a bomb-thrower.

There is a hell of a difference between Goldman Sachs collectively and a specific individual who works for Goldman Sachs.

Not so sure about that.  The whole revolving door dynamic between government and "people who work for Goldman Sachs" is troubling to me.  Too many decisions seem to be constructed to suit the interests of Goldman Sachs and similar concerns.

Meanwhile, a person who spoke to the Trump campaign told POLITICO that the aides have also discussed tapping Sarah Palin for Interior secretary. Trump has said he’d like to put Palin in his cabinet, and Palin has made no secret of her interest.

Oh, good heavens, no.  Please, no.

The Trump Davidians could lighten up a little... Trump was NOT my guy, but right now I am having too much fun seeing all the liberal butthurt and wailing.

Still... Trump is not a conservative, the republicrat party is barely conservative anymore, and I will continue to point out liberalism when I see it.

"Mr. Trump" works for "Mr. Rodamala" now.
