Not from what I saw. We had several under the company umbrella down to one with three people staffing a weekly. In my experience the small town papers were as bad and some even more ideological because the cronyism was on full display. You scratch my back, I scratch yours and we both get what we want. The party branding involved didn't matter because the underpinning was fully leftist And people who bought the thing did so for entertainment because they knew they got a very selective version of the goings on in the town hall.
