Not beyond our control. This people have chosen for men to be saviors and their government to be their god.
When this people refused to be self governed by God, tyrants were going to forge their chains.

This people have either refused, saying it cannot happen here or are wholly ignorant - willfully so of history's lessons.
The bible is rife with examples of the rise and fall of Israel, and following the exact same pattern of behavior.

Do you think God was pleased when His Ancient People people kept deciding on one evil judge as a stop gap for another judge they thought was worse?
Eventually their nation did what each man pleased in his own eyes and they were wiped from existence.
Same as our fate will be.
And we cannot say we were not warned.
