Interesting premise,   but it could use some additional details.   Perhaps you could flesh it out a bit more?

I believe in not having Nazified government goons knocking down my doors in the middle of the night.

I prefer Hillary's NKVD to Trump's Geheime Staatspolizei.

More folks would recognize the former as a threat before the latter.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. You are just jealous because @geronl is so much smarter than you are.  So you resort to hate.

The Trump circus is upset that we realize we are superior people in every way. Morally, intellectually. Naturally they'd be upset at their failings as humans. And you'd have to fail bloody hard to support Donald Trump and brag about it.

We do not expect stormtroopers for cults of personality to comprehend or understand the concept of principles, right or wrong, evil or righteousness.  Acolytes for political saviors and messiahs see no use for such things unless they can somehow benefit their monarch in the polls.   Moral imperatives and fundamental principles that will not bend or change to accommodate expedience are seen as nothing but foolishness.

Then you might wanna revisit your own camp that brags daily about hunting people down with dogs, getting revenge and standard issue Brownshirt bullshittery. Might wanna crack a history book while you're at it.

Speaking of crack,  you might want to lay off it for a few days.

Point stands whether you 'reject the premise' as usual, or not.

Perfunctory post from one of the forums lowest quality posters. What is the average word count in your posts? I'm always shocked to see you put more than one sentence worth of effort into your posts.

The selection of Mike Pence was insufficient to assuage your group of castaways, so it should come as little surprise that you're still whining and complaining about representation. Why should any politician care what you think, since you've already said you're not voting for either Clinton or Trump? Never means never, which means your negotiating power in the political sphere is nil. This is political exile, and you willingly placed yourself in it. But at least you can get a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when you cast your 3rd party ballot.

I'm curious.  Just what do you envision your "negotiating power in the political sphere" to be?

It's no greater than mine.  And I will be on here criticizing whoever is elected because I participated.

You Trumpkins are funny.  You want to drag anybody who's not for Trump down into the sewer with you.

Enjoy it down there.

you jest.

and obviously don't have kids 22222frying pan

I do have a kid and she is learning this year at a young age something that took longer for me to experience. Life sucks. There are no easy answers and sometimes you have to work with the hand you are dealt.

She knows one candidate is a foul mouthed subhuman who treats people like garbage and lies. She knows one candidate is a criminal who has gamed the system to keep her out of jail and lies. That's what we have to work with. The good news is that she is not a Party cheerleader like I used to be and takes candidates regardless of party. Another thing that makes her more advanced than her years.

I prefer Hillary's NKVD to Trump's Geheime Staatspolizei.

More folks would recognize the former as a threat before the latter.

Here we go round the merry go round,  the merry go round,  the merry go round...

Hillary is a Nazi.   Trump is a boor.  Of the two,  only Hillary has abused government power.   You don't have a F***ing thing on Trump that compares.

Spit it out.   State your example of Trump abusing government power in the manner of firing people who worked there for 30 years,  farming their jobs out to cronies for the purpose of streaming government contracts into their pockets,  and then pushing  to get the fired people PROSECUTED BY THE FBI!

How about an example of Trump getting the rapist of a 12 year old girl out of prison by attacking the poor victim?   And LAUGHING ABOUT IT!   Do you have an example of Trump doing anything remotely close to that?

How about unethically and illegally altering a legal brief regarding the right to counsel for President Nixon,   filing it with the federal court,  and then lying to the Federal Judge about it,  all in an effort to deliberately deny legal rights to someone she hated?

Has Trump done any such thing?

If you do not have an example of Trump committing an equal vile atrocity,   then have the decency to STFU  with these false allegations about how abusive Trump would be.   We have proof that Hillary would be abusive.   She has a 37 year history of abuse of power.

We have no such examples of Trump doing something similar.

Don't care if he is,  so long as he appoints the conservative judges he agreed to nominate.   Now whether or not he will keep his word on this is a valid concern,   but a "maybe" with Trump is better than a "definitely not"  with Hillary.

A valid concern??  The man is a pathological liar and narcissist who's on a power trip right now.  Believing he'll keep his word.......... and that word has changed every day, btw, especially when it comes to abortion......... is not based in any form of reality.

I'm sorry, but the "he maybe will do something good if we wish hard enough" is NOT good enough to make a sane pro-life person vote for him.

Trump is PRO-ABORTION.

He thinks that way, he acts that way, he pays for abortions, he wants taxpayers to fund the most evil organization in the country.

To believe he will do ANYTHING pro-life is nothing but fantasy.

And I don't base my votes on fantasy.

I could care less who wins, the Republic will survive. But going just on entertainment value the meltdown by Trump supporters after Hilliary wins promises to be biggly epic, and should he win watching them accept every NY Liberal value Trump can come up with for 4 years will be equally biggly epic..

Clinton promises to be rather dull unless you are in a pool betting on her next health crisis..

I remember all those time's Jesus compromised what he believed in...

I remember one time he told us to break the lesser moral issue to protect the greater.

9And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: 10And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. 11And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? 12How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. 13Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. 14Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

It seems the vile Pharisees were thinking the tail should instead wag the dog.

I didn't make it up.  I read it on the internet.   :dx1:

Just like you read on the internet that Trump changed his views on abortion.

Trouble is that if he had, he wouldn't have been touting PP in a debate THIS YEAR.... a murderous, purely EVIL organization.

The man is Pro-ABORTION.

If you want to vote for him in spite of that fact, go for it.

I can't.
