I don't know how one would assess with even relative assurance that one had a comprehensive enough grasp of the relevant data points involved to measure such probabilities with anything remotely congruent with "reality."

The Drake equation, as Stanton Friedman royally trashed . . . is a farce from the git-go.

In terms of evolution--the universe has not been remotely close to in existence anything near the time 'required' for such 'evolutionary' probabilities to have a ghost of a chance of operating.

And the probability that life sprung spontaneously from nothing is far, far, far less than one in the number of atoms in the postulated multiverse . . . in other words . . . in probability terms . . . impossible.

I just find your whole leaning on the probability argument extremely lacking in terms of its reference to sufficient data points involved.

However, when one looks at the 10's of thousands of pages of documentation included in the DVD to the print copy of EXO-VATICANA . . . then the probability that their explanation best fits the data points available . . . approaches certainty, imho.

You might be informed to read more on their 'abilities' . . . particularly in terms of their movements.

I love that movie! And who said they were capable of interstellar travel? The characters in the movie made that conjecture, but it was never confirmed by anyone or anything; and if you go by the "aliens" actions rather than what the characters were supposing, they seem much more like what ancient people would have thought of as demons, than what we today understand as aliens.

If you think of it as a demon manifestation rather than an alien invasion, the movie makes a lot more sense imho!

That and in Independence Day, how is it that an alien race so advanced as to master interstellar space travel, the ability to triangulate an attack by using our own communication satellites and their advanced weaponry that could vaporize cites, didn’t have the technical knowhow on how to protect their systems from a simple computer virus (cleverly named “Trojan Horse) that even Jeff Goldblum, basically a cable tech guy, could create in oh, in about what? Five minutes?

Had not the aliens ever thought to developed their own version of McAfee, Norton or Malware Bites?

Yes, I was familiar with the concept of modern alien visitations being a reworking of medieval demonic visitations. So when wife and I were discussing the movie after seeing it, and specifically those questions like "What kind of alien can't open a door?", I thought (and said out loud) "What if they weren't aliens? What if they were demons?" and suddenly a lot of the movie made more sense. It goes along with the point of the entire movie being the minister (Mel Gibson's character) finding his faith again.

Think about this in political terms:
If Obama released this information in these days before election day, like in the next few days, there would be a huge, really huge, thank you from the public, especially younger voters and maybe older voters (thankful they were still alive to hear it) and they would praise him for telling them this and they would vote for his party, being Clinton. 

I have been to Roswell, New Mexico, to the UFO museum and have all the books written about that.  Anything UFO found there, if there was anything, is now at Area 51.  I am sure many millions have also been to Roswell and if Obama put that information out, his approval numbers would go up dramatically, something he could point to at the end of his administration.  Plus, if nothing happened at Roswell and all other reports of UFOs were also bogus, and he reported that, using documentation, he would still get a huge bump of approval.

My grandson lived in London all his life until he came to college here this year.  When he was about ten years old, for Christmas, I ordered items from the UFO Roswell museum - two books and an alien figure so he would know about that happening, true or not.  It needed to be part of his education since he is an American citizen as well as a British citizen. 

I am all for Obama releasing any information there is.  Numerous pilots, not nutcases, have reported what they have seen and I would like to know if any of that was documented as true.

While I am not sure of the uptick in Democrat votes, I, too would like to know what's what.
