Record based on what? They seem to be implying that it is a record for 'live viewing' which we can only assume is only a record on their platform (liveeventweb.com) because if actual attendance was that, it is fewer than rallies Romney and Obama had in 2012. It is also not a record for the largest web viewing event (I believe that was William and Kate's wedding at 10.3 million people per minute clicked it.)

It also wouldn't be the record political web event, (Obama's inauguration with 4.3 million page views per minute).

29K viewers is peanuts compared to Livestream.com's hundreds of thousand to millions of viewers for events.

Costa Mesa looks like it is outside,

This in Pa. looks like it is indoors with even a jumbotron hanging in the middle.

Without going through the whole 2 hours of Costa Mesa, it looks very different.

Where was it held, also in Pa., ice hockey is a big deal... some of these might be arenas.

The first example of that was our location. In 2012, Mitt Romney spent the Sunday night before Election Day at Shady Brook Farm in Bucks County. His campaign drew thousands (his team estimated 25,000) and Romney performed better than any GOP nominee since 1988 in Bucks, coming just less than 4,000 votes away from winning it.

Donald Trump’s campaign, however, chose the Newtown Athletic Club’s Sports Training Center about five minutes away.

Interesting because Wilkes-Barre, just southwest of Scranton, has traditionally been a working-class area.

Blue-collar folks, [former] core of the "democratic constituency".

The folks who -- for a short time -- became "Reagan democrats".

Could something like that happen again?

I know and we all that the polls were wrong and Mitt was going to win..

I don't recall massive crowds coming out to see Romney as has been reported with Trump, but I do remember Karl Rove going on national TV with one of his ridiculous hand drawn charts proclaiming absolute victory for Romney. 

IMHO with the polls showing Hillary winning in the polls and the MSM indicating she'll be our next president, perhaps many will stay home thinking she's already got the nomination.  I find it interesting that throughout her campaign she's rested and hasn't been very visible, yet her poll numbers are soaring.  Now that the election is getting near, she seems to be more visible and hitting the campaign trail again.  If things were that certain; she'd be resting not campaigning as she's done throughout her entire campaign.
