At Xavier University’s Black Lives Matter conference this weekend, the mother of Michael Brown said that her son “will never be able to attend college” due to his having been shot and killed by Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri two years ago.

That “was his dream,” according to Lezley McSpadden.

“After she heard her son had been shot near his grandmother’s house,” according to the New Orleans Advocate, “she left work, and a co-worker drove her as close to the crime scene as they could get in a car.

He'll also never be able to physically assault a little guy half his size and weight, pilfer from a store and assault another police officer.  Que tragique.

Mom raised a thug and then defends her thug.  Mom's a thug too.

Interesting how these parents only care about their kids after they die. Where was this woman when he was out thugging?  Maybe if she had been a parent, made him stay home and learn something, he would be alive and in college.

My folks made sure we did our homework before we went out to hang with our friends.  And if it got dark before homework was done, well, we could forget about going out.  And on the rare occasions I didn't have homework, I was encouraged to pick up a book and read.  When I was a kid, the Internet didn't exist, so encyclopedias were all the rage.  They were meant to be reference books, but sometimes when I needed something to read, I would take a volume from the encyclopedia, open it to a random chapter and begin reading.  Acquired a considerable amount of useless knowledge that way, but the point was, I was sharpening my reading skills.  Those reading skills were important to learning.

I don't get parents who have kids, then don't raise them.  They depend on the gubmint to be the parents.  Then they wonder why their kids become messed up or dead.
