I don't know if this singer is a
tenor altino, but he's definitely in that range (think: Frankie Valli of the Four Seasons, but without the falsetto).
Here, it's just warm, natural and yet sonorous at such a high register. I love the mood and flavor of the music, which is so perfectly reflective of the time and place.
I imagine sitting at an outdoor cafe on a warm evening in Habana in 1955, drinking a cocktail, smoking a Partagas
puro and simply inhaling the warmth of the time, the place, the music, and the people.
Perhaps, one day...if we are still here...
