Former RNC head won’t vote Trump

Former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele says he will not vote for presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“I will not be voting for [Democratic presidential nominee Hillary] Clinton,” Steele told listeners in San Francisco Thursday, as reported by BuzzFeed.

“I will not be voting for Trump either,” he added during a ceremony honoring the 40th anniversary of Mother Jones magazine.

“[Trump has] captured that racist underbelly, that frustration, that angry underbelly of American life and given voice to that.”

Steele, who led the GOP from 2009 to 2011, said Trump represents only 30 percent of the party’s members nationwide.

The former lieutenant governor of Maryland added he could not stomach watching Clinton and Trump in their three presidential debates.

“I was damn near puking during the debates,” Steele said two days after the pair’s third and final contest in Las Vegas.

Trump has struggled with winning the support of establishment Republicans since the political outsider launched his campaign last year.

Steele is the third former RNC head to shun the billionaire, following former Govs. Marc Racicot (Mont.) and Mel Martinez (Fla.).

Current RNC Chairman Reince Priebus supports Trump’s campaign but has at times clashed with real estate tycoon.

Clinton, for her part, has touted support from current and former Republican officials while on the campaign trail.

Still won't stop the comments from raining down on him at other Trump friendly websites.  I'm hoping the Trump supporters here will at least not make any comments based on skin color regarding his decision.
