Obama: Immigration reform will take 'more than one presidency'

    By NICOLE DURAN • 10/12/16 6:29 PM

President Obama told a Latino audience gathered at the White House that comprehensive immigration reform will happen, even though he couldn't make it happen during his presidency.

"And Lord knows we need to reform our immigration system so that it is smart and continues to make us a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants," Obama said during brief remarks from the East Room in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. "We've known all along that we weren't going to get everything done during one presidency."
