UK: University considering banning “God Save the Queen”: it’s “far right”

That the university would even be considering this is a sign of a cultural confusion and capitulation of catastrophic proportions. Britain is finished.

    THE ICONIC God Save The Queen could be banned by a university from its graduation ceremony because the anthem “has links to far right nationalism”.

    Mahamed Abdullahi, from King’s College London Students’ Union said he wanted to scrap the national anthem because it’s “outdated” and “not reflective” of the global values.

    The union welfare officer took to Facebook to spout his hate for the traditional song.

Would they prefer something like "Onward Muslim Soldiers?"  Or "Peace be unto Mohammed?"  Or that old favorite "Good Luck Whacking off Heads?"

'Global values' sounds like code for global imperialism and world domination. And he's worried about far-right nationalism?

That French National Anthem, the Marseilles has come under the same sort of criticism.

Maybe there are other things in the song, that's the part I heard.

Unless and until "nationalism" enjoys a resurgence in the native populations of Western Europe, that continent is doomed.

If that be "far right nationalism", so be it.
I will WELCOME its return.

There are new non-Euro populations growing within Western Europe that have their own kind of nationalism, which might be referred to as a desire to move Europe into dar al-islam.

Eventually, that's going to happen -- again, UNLESS the old-style Euro-nationalism swells anew...

I wonder how long Canada will keep the French lyrics to their National Anthem, since it mentions the Cross and a sword:

It was already a story in the last year where the Canadian anthem was amended from "Sons" to "All People", I forget the details, something like that.
