The New York Times is reporting that anonymous sources say polling is so bad for Trump that Republicans are planning to run the other way if he loses the second debate as badly as he did the first:


Donald J. Trump’s support has plunged across the swing-state map over the last 10 days, wiping out his political recovery from September and threatening to undo weeks of Republican gains in the battle for control of Congress.

…Should Mr. Trump falter badly in his second debate with Hillary Clinton on Sunday in St. Louis, Republican congressional candidates may take it as a cue to flee openly from their nominee, said two senior Republicans involved at high levels of the campaign who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss private party strategy.

Why would Trump do any better on Sunday?  He can't be other than who he is, and that's galactically ignorant and jumping on Hillary's bait.

I really don't see how they can "abandon ship" now that they're stuck with the iceberg of their own choosing.   They pushed him at us since he won the nomination.  Now they're backing away?  Too friggin late!

we have been hearing variations on this theme for months but the real answer is that the GOP is extremely comfortable with losing, they like being the minority party too. Even when they have a majority they act like the minority.

If anyone of sound mind reads that and understands it is coming from a "Presidential candidate", they would rightly run screaming from such dangerous insanity.
