FEC war: Dems reject call to protect Internet news, talk radio from regs

In the latest partisan escalation on the Federal Election Commission, a top Democratic commissioner has ripped a Republican commissioner's bid to protect books, radio and Internet media from regulation as "pitiful."

Ann Ravel, a former FEC chairwoman, joined other Democrats at a meeting this month to block Republican Lee Goodman's proposal to explicitly expand the "press exemption" from regulations to books, satellite radio and Internet-based news media.

Big difference.   The media will let Hillary get away with her suppression of speech,  they won't let Trump get away with it.

Part of the problem is that conservatives/republicans simply don't "use" the FEC and other repressive agencies the way the dems/libs do.  I rather think the dems would start singing a different tune if every conservative/republican group around would just start filing complaints against each and every democrat/liberal outlet.  Just get conversant with the "magic words" under the FEC statute and regulations, and start filing those complaints.  Not only will it keep the FEC staff up nights, it will turn the harassment by government agency back on the dems/libs if even 10% of the complaints filed get investigated.
