@Norm Lenhart
The vast majority of Trump supporters that I've run across are good decent people, albeit mistaken.
I would argue that to be a good person, one most not only tell themselves and others that they are good people/claim good intention, but their actions have to reflect their words.
Very few people I have encountered in my life fit that description. And it's not like I hang out in drug dens and strip joints. Bill can spend every sunday on his knees in a pew and greasing the collection plate with a lot of cash. doesn
t mean anything if he was banging the neighbor's daighter while his wife was home with their children.
I don't see how rationally, logically or literally 'good' people take actions like voting for liberals. In years of posting to conservative forums I have never had anyone honestly explain or identify a single issue of importance today that wasn't created and driven in a Ferrari to hell, by a liberal/liberalism. Not one. They are the root of all the wrongs in the world we face because their ideology is the root of those problems, whether abortion, meaningless war, our health, education...all of it.
So logically, for good people to actively empower a liberal, liberalism would HAVE to be 'good'. Since that is a logical impossibility, they are polar opposites afterall, people that empower liberals/liberalism are not good people. they are the problem.
No one likes facing the reality that one guy sussed out a long time ago. All thats needed for evil to win is for good men to do nothing. I would add, "Or actively help it into power." Likewise, no one wants to face the reality that their best buddy/neighbor, spouse/family member is such a person. AKA a bad person.
Ted Cruz was actually right but for the wrong reason. This election, just like every one that came before and will ever come again, is in fact, Binary. But the choice isnt Trump Vs. Hillary. It's right vs. wrong/good vs. evil. And those two have nothing to attest to the good in them. they have however, documented laundry lists of bad and outright acts of evil.
So that leaves voting for bad and bad/evil and evil...OR voting, the action in question, for good. For someone that is NOT bad or evil. That option, contrary to what some who desire bad/evil post here, is in fact available on every single ballot in America. There are other, better, good options, either third party or via write in. One can vote for bad/evil. thats also an option. But the action of exercising that option places them in the camp of empowering bad/evil. That action defines the person they are. A bad one.
Any 2 year old understands they won't get chocolate ice cream by asking for Vanilla. Likewise, no rational person can expect good to come from empowering bad. Anything else is simply not supportable by logic or reason. Thus it is an excuse.
We ALL have to make a choice. Actively empower the bad, or the good. We are who we associate with or in this case, vote for. Or every mother and granny in history was a liar. And I don't think half the people who ever lived are wrong.
