Eric Trump: It Took “Courage” For My Dad To Not Mention Bill Clinton’s Infidelity

“That was a big moment for me and probably will actually become — my life and this campaign — and probably will be something I’ll always remember,” Eric Trump said.

Eric Trump said on Tuesday that it took “courage” during Monday night’s debate for his father to refrain from bringing up Bill Clinton’s infidelity, saying it was something he’ll always remember.

“I mean, he very well could’ve looked down — and he said it when he came off the debate stage, ‘I wasn’t gonna respond to that question because I saw Chelsea in the front row and I just wasn’t gonna go there out of respect for her,’” the younger son of the Republican nominee told host Simon Conway of 1040 WHO Iowa radio. “And that was a big moment for me and probably will actually become, my life and this campaign, and probably will be something I’ll always remember.”

He continued, “I mean, he really took the high ground where he had the opportunity to go very, very low. And I’m proud of him for doing that. I mean, I’m really proud of him
for doing that. And I think people recognize that. I mean, there are a lot of people who came up to me, including many in the media, who said listen, he could’ve just crushed her on that last question. And he would’ve probably hurt a family if he did.

“I don’t know, I think that took a lot of courage in so many regards and I think he really answered that well and took the high ground and kept the high road.”
During the debate, Hillary Clinton brought up disparaging comments Donald Trump has made about women. Trump responded by saying that he had refrained from saying something “extremely rough to Hillary, to her family.” After the debate, he said that he did so out of respect for Chelsea Clinton, who was in the audience, though he added that he might bring up Clinton’s extramarital affairs at the next debate.

TeenWolf will always remember it because it was likely the first time his dad wasn't a douchebag.

1. It took no courage.
2. He did mention it in a pretty sneaky way (the whole ...I could mention something about.... line.)
3. Pot meet kettle.

What a load of ultra-biased horse manure!   That's not courage.  It's complicity.  Same thing that 'caused' Trump to not nail Hillary on oh-so-many other issues....MAJOR issues, unlike Bill's adultery.  Trump didn't allude to it because he knew damned well that Hillary could and probably would mention his previous adulteries.  And Hillary could, truthfully (gasp), say that at least Bill never bragged about it!

Two things Trump demanded credit for this week:

-Not attacking opponent over husband's infidelity

-Letting minorities into his golf club

It would have been a bigger risk for Trump to bring it up. Per Ivana's book, by the time Eric was born in 84, Trump had several side floozies and paid them to have abortions (which I'm sure will really come out in full in October), so bringing that up would be opening the door to his own closet...

Not that either are real courage...

Yeah, but the only time Trump ever refrains from being himself, a douche, is if/when it benefits him to do so.  In this case, his ulterior motive was to keep Hillary from pointing that blame-finger right back at him for HIS past adulterous behavior.

Definitely.  One wonders how many other 'little Trump' spawn are out there .....born by women that didn't believe in abortion...?  It's enough to give one even more nightmares....than the one we're already having.

He was very careful not to have out of wedlock spawn even though he had many side hoes. Pick up a copy of Ivana's book sometime (probably have to get it used off Amazon). He was paying them to have abortions and even had them get STD checks and provide medical reports before he would even date them (all while married).  Not even really a secret. There are recordings from Howard Stern's show in the 90s where he was bragging about it.

@sinkspur

Well, Trump mentioned it as soon as he got off stage.  He can tell of the Clinton women but doesn't want the women mentioned that he had affairs with while married to two women.   Perhaps his son doesn't know about his dad's other women?  Nah, he knows but it's okay for his dad as he has billions of dollars (according to his dad).

This reminds of being back on TOS, where someone would post some celebrity gossip and the first 15 replies would be along the lines of "I don't care".  I always figured that obviously you cared enough to click on it.

Well paying someone to have an abortion is one thing.  Making sure that they actually follow through and have it is quite another.  He's quite a piece of work (or something), either way.

Branded!
Marked with Trumps shame.

As I said on another thread yesterday, this is classic passive aggressive behavior. And evidently Eric inherited that trait along with his father’s word salad style of speaking.

What if I told someone: “I could have said last night that you are fat, ugly and stupid and you have some sort of degenerative disease and your husband cheats on you and has STD’s and by the way, your kid is a bastard, fathered by someone other than your husband. But since I didn’t say those things last night, you should thank me for my restraint and for being so nice to you.”

It's also called a reacharound insult, and it (the tactic) is patently obvious to anyone that is not a stuckonstupid liberal.
