And you fail as a Clinton pimp.

So anyone who doesn't bow down to your Dear Leader is trying to get Clinton elected?  You do realize that no sane person believes that, right?

Cruz Praises Trump, Offers To Help In Debate Prep; "I Will Do Whatever I Can To Defeat Hillary Clinton"

I think the party has told Ted that he'll be considered "next in line" for 2020... i.e., the front runner for the next Presidential election.
Let it burn.

I suspect Cruz has been promised something we do not know about.  A position in a Trump administration of some sort.  I am madder at him today than I was yesterday.  They can have him.

Of course, it couldn't possibly be that Sen. Cruz is just trying to do the right thing, here? Could it?

Maybe he just wants to keep the corrupt Clinton's and the DNC liberals out of the WH? Maybe he loves his adopted home country? Naah.

Cruz is a total political animal.  He does nothing that's not in his own best interests.

Undoubtedly, Cruz knows its curtains for the country if Hillary gets in.  Cruz has fought many Supreme Court battles and is truly a patriot and I think first and foremost he's concerned about the SCOTUS justices.  But there is more too it than that,   Donald also insulted him, and unmercifully attacked him and lied about him...meanwhile Preibus made it publicly known that there would be consequences for those that didn't endorse the GOP nominee and Trump himself stated that he was going to spend millions to defeat him.  Why after all this Ted has decided to actually 'trust' him is beyond me.  The only thing I can think of is Ted was promised something. I think he's still making a huge mistake by trusting Trump and the GOPe.  They hate Ted...I don't think that's changed; only thing is they realize how much they need him.  Hopefully Cruz is already one step ahead of them.

It is become very clear that Hillary can not be allowed to occupy the office of president of the United States. If you are inclined to vote R than a vote for anyone other than Trump is a vote for Hillary.

It became crystal clear last night that Trump cannot be allowed anywhere near the nuclear football as he demonstrated he will be far worse in that office than Hillary.

He admitted on live television he is a tax cheat and a criminal, while whining like a juvenile about Hillary being 'mean to him' after a litany of incoherent tirades and self-promoting bullshiite.

And you can POUND SAND on your insipid charge that voting for an actual Conservative like Castle is a vote for Hillary.  I'm going to start insisting that a vote for Trump is a vote for Fascism.

Cruz has gone delusional as has anyone who attached themselves to Trump.  They've all been given over to strong delusion so they end up spinning reality the same way the Left does for their political messiah's.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

The more I think about it and I could be dead wrong, Cruz selling out doesn't fit his character. He's been the lone man standing before. I think either he and/or his family have been threatened.

A la the John Roberts factor.  John Roberts, who was adamantly anti-Obamacare right up until he 180-degree reversed his position and 'saved' Obamacare for the Democrats.  Wouldn't be the first (or last) time the fascist left has threatened the lives of their opposition....and their families.  Check out the Clinton Death List for referenced proof of that.

Nah.  There's a more straightforward explanation -- part duty to country, part self-serving.

The "duty to country" part comes from defeating Hillary Clinton -- I believe Cruz when he says that's his main object at this point.  And "duty to country" means helping Trump to defeat her.

The "self-serving" part is related: if he can be seen to put his personal feelings aside, and to help an enemy of his enemy, then it positions him well for near- and long-term prospects.  Also, he needs to be seen as a "party man," if he's to have a role in the party going forward, and so he must help the party's candidate.

I seriously doubt that threats were involved.

Also factor in the timing of Scalia's unfortunate death. It's not like Cruz is best buds with the Cartel.

I agree with you. I don't think he would care if he was threatened, it must have been his wife and/or his daughters. I still believe he's a man of principle and this has to be the only reason.

This is my response on his statement:

What debate were YOU watching Ted, because what actually happened with Donald Trump, is absolutely the opposite of what you described.

You know, you say you had to vote for Trump as a "binary" choice. Which I would argue, is a false, erroneous argument, since he is JUST AS BAD, just as liberal, just as progressive, just as UNCONSTITUTIONAL, just as big government, AS Hillary. So it's not between THEM, it's between THEIR brand of BIG GOVT same old liberal policies (that we've been under since at least the 1st Clinton) OR someone else. ANYONE else. Shoot, Where's Waldo would be a better choice than these TWO liberals. THAT is your "binary" choice. And if everyone who disliked these two, for whatever reason, decided to step away from the Two Party Bullshit, and vote for someone else....then this two party/uniparty totalitarian oligarchy would, and could, be stopped.

But you are playing right into it. And THAT is a shame. I want to support you. I want to continue to trust you. But when you come out an start SHILLING for a man, YOU KNOW DAMNED WELL, is NOT any of the things you are claiming he is, you become a LIAR and untrustworthy.

SHAME ON YOU TED CRUZ! Vote for him if your conscience tells you. But don't shill for the man. Don't praise qualities that ARE NOT REALISTICALLY there. Don't LIE and tell us it's raining while you are pissing on our legs.

This endorsement comes after the Priebus threat, the Trump threat and the meeting with Pence.  I have no doubt his career was threatened but I feel a threat may have been made on his family; more than likely Heidi.
