Donald Trump After Presidential Debate: My Mic Was Defective (NBC)
« on: September 27, 2016, 06:27:44 pm »
by Cassandra Vinograd

Donald Trump complained that his microphone wasn't working properly during the first presidential debate, questioning of whether he was intentionally given a "defective" device.

Trump and Clinton went head-to-head Monday night in a heated session at Hofstra University. The Republican candidate appeared to be shouting at some points and stumbled over his words at others.

When asked by reporters after the event what he thought of moderator Lester Holt's performance, Trump said: "I felt he was fine."

But he then lamented having a "defective mic."

"My mic was defective within the room," Trump told reporters.

He added: "I wonder ... Was that on purpose? Was that on purpose?"

Mr. Trump, checking your mic before the event is called "preparation." You failed.

As a young Captain, I worked at a high profile directorate at Fort Bliss, where new weapons systems were tested. It was a stop for virtually every VIP, as everyone was interested at what was coming online. 2-3 times a week, I gave the briefings, up to 3 star general and civilian equivalent. VIPs above that were handled by my boss, a full bird Colonel, though I was in attendance to answer questions.

Before every briefing, I made sure everything was ready, down to the temperature of the room, that all the lights worked, you name it.

Sure I know that this doesn't compare to last night, except that someone should have checked the microphones, and other details.

Amazing that Trump perceives defectiveness in other things and in other people....but never in himself or in anything related to his campaign or his past.  He has had things 'his way' his entire life due to his and his fathers' money....and he just can't see things any other way now.

As a president, he would be equally unable or unwilling to see any faults in his own performance.  That makes him just as bad and just as dangerous as the admitted Democrat that's running, IMO.

@sinkspur

Thanks for posting, "LOSER".  I had not thought of that word to describe Trump's facial expressions or his mouth not being able to speak complete sentences or make a credible point and being obsessed when someone is brought up he had a quarrel with (like the beauty winner, Rosie McDonald).

LOSER fits his behaviors in this debate.

Well put. His lack of having any humility, and I mean zero, is why I can't vote for him.

Last night I was very critical of the positioning of the candidates in relation to the cameras as unfair to Trump and didn't even notice the mic difference until it became a story, and even after that, with the exception of the video where they just clipped his snorts, it was pretty much unnoticeable. If he didn't say anything, I doubt anyone would have noticed it.

I guess he had to find an excuse somewhere.

If he felt he was a winner and dominated, he wouldn't need to make an excuse....

Like this entire campaign, it seems a main part of his strategy is to make himself out to be a victim in everything.

Trump doing a preemptive strike on excuses.  Could he possibly have some inkling that he lost badly and made a fool out of himself?  Maybe in the moment a little reality sunk in but by now he's King of the Golden River again.

Tokyo Rose.  Is that you?  You sound just like her:

"Hello, boneheads. This is your favorite enemy. How are all you orphans of the Pacific? Are you enjoying yourselves while your wives and sweethearts are running around with the 4Fs in the States? How do you feel now when all your ships have been sunk by the Japanese Navy? How will you get home?"

Actually, in a sense....it's very fitting that the Japs are being chosen to illustrate their nonsensical non-point.....since, when Trump loses they will all be feeling very 'hari-kari ish'....lol.
