Trump Support Among Hispanics Better Than Expected

Republican candidate Donald Trump is polling better than expected with Hispanic voters, on par with previous GOP nominee Mitt Romney, The Hill reports.

At the time, Romney's support among Hispanic voters was seen as dismal, to the point that the Republican National Committee asked for a "post-mortem" to show just how they could win the support of Hispanics and other demographics.

Despite his controversial rhetoric on illegal immigration and his call for a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, there's little evidence to suggest that Trump is lagging among Hispanic voters.

In 2012, President Barack Obama beat Romney by 47 percent among Hispanic voters in Nevada. According to a recent Marist poll for NBC News/The Wall Street Journal, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton leads with Hispanics in the state by a margin of 35 percent.

The politician that will win the Mexican vote must

#1:  Refuse to build a border wall with Mexico

#2:  Refuse to deport illegal aliens from Mexico

#3:  Refuse to enforce immigration law

Illegal immigration by Mexicans is becoming less and less of a problem, statistics show.   But that doesn't stop Trump from ginning up fear and loathing.

Especially in Mexico where just last week in Mexico City thousands were lined up to overthrow Peña Nieto for simply carrying on a conversation with Trump.

What are they afraid of?

Trump, of course.  They are afraid the USA will actually enforce it's own border and it's own immigration laws, which would NEVER be enforced under a neocon.

They're not afraid of Trump.  They just think he's a fascist arsehole.

I admire the Mexicans - they work a hell of a lot harder than many of the angry white bum-sitters who support Donald Trump, stuck in their rural hollows rather than go forth and look for a job.

Ask an employer - would he rather hire a Mexican who shows up on time and puts in an honest day's work, or some inbred hillbilly who thinks his problems will be solved by Donald Trump?

Not a thing, as long as they don't vote for Trump.
