Feds Give $5 Million to Help Troubled Baltimore Youth with ‘Yoga, Mindfulness Activities and Healing Circles’
(CNSNews.com) - The city of Baltimore’s Health Department announced [1] on Thursday that it is receiving $5 million from Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to help troubled youth through “yoga/mindfulness activities, and healing circles.”
“Specifically, the program will implement high-quality, trauma-informed, community-based services—including youth and community organizing, mentoring programs, youth development, yoga/mindfulness activities, and healing circles—across multiple sectors,” the press release stated.
