Would you choose Che as your avatar?
Nope, I don't have a 'thing' for Communist mass murderers, myself. Who is using Che as an avatar?

If they are a fascist, sure. Do they advocate government control of privately owned industry? (you might be a fascist if...sounds like Jeff Foxworthy)
As for bootlicker, well if the shoe fits, wear it or whatever.

Is that how conservatives act?
I would expect a Conservative to call a spade a spade, call it as they see it. If you see it differently, come up with some evidence to refute those positions.

You know that this 'New York liberal' chant is a slur, right?
Liberal is as liberal does. Oh, yeah, some might consider it a 'slur', but then it is often considered redundant, too. Some of us "flyover country" Conservatives know that not everyone is a Liberal in New York We have Conservative agents behind the lines.

A slur?  Don't make us laugh.  If it's true, how is it a slur?

You want to really laugh (...and see the NeverTrumper wolves come after me)?

I think my vote is too important to the future of my country to waste it on "principle."

Just to clarify. I didn't say stop talking to people who disagree. I said "People who won't listen."

#NeverTrumpers have said they've made up their mind and they spend most of their time slandering Donald Trump. You can't "convince them" off their position. They've chosen the hill to die on.

Just as I have. Never Trump could never convince me off of my decision to support the Republican nominee. I will vote for Donald J Trump and thus make it that much more difficult for Hillary Clinton to steal the White House.

So how exactly will voting for one dishonest NY Liberal over the other dishonest NY Liberal make us a better country?

She's pretty decrepit and would have to do a lot of digging and hauling to steal the White House. I doubt she could sack up any appreciable portion of even just the silverware any more.

You start the snark...then cry victim when people respond to you?

That's rich.

You got exactly what you came in here looking for.

You still need to explain how what was said is a slur.

Actually I would suggest that its the end of conservatism only for those who happily and willfully support Trump.

However happily voting for either NY liberal kind of throws their conservatism into doubt in the first place.

(I'm excluding those who feel that they have no choice)

I'll break my self-imposed rule this time.

I disagree with your assessment of Donald Trump as a dishonest New York liberal. I believe you are wrong and so filled with pride and hurt, you can't see it.

Don't bother posting to me. I won't respond. You are #NeverTrumper -- immune to reason or logic -- and I can't waste my time on such foolishness.

I understand the definition of "slur" n00b.

I'm asking you...again...what exactly was said here that was a slur.

So far I don't see anything that was said that would require you to start comparing a member here to an Arkansas racist.

I'm not betting anything. This isn't like Vegas where you can choose to play or not. It's Trump or Clinton and Clinton is a socialist kleptocrat.

You can agree or disagree with me, but IMO Trump is a crony capitalist kleptocrat with the petulance of a spoiled 9 YO boy.

@aligncare

Where am I wrong?

IF there is a Conservative in the mild of Reagan underneath those expensive Made in Mexico suits Donny wears please show me.

I don't believe I have ever said I was nevertrump.  In fact early on here I stated the only reason I'd cast a vote for him.

You just use that as a blanket excuse to not engage with people who are skeptical of your Orange Jesus.

As far as being immune to logic or reason...you're the one refusing to engage and show the courage of your convictions by debating the issue.

You're more content to sit there with your fingers in your ears going "lalalalalalalalala".

Quit being a coward.

IMO, and I say this without rancor or emotion, most of the ardent Trump supporters that I've tried to reason with, particularly on TOS, is "A does not equal A". Nearly every time Trump changes his position, it's viewed as another example of Trump's brilliance, his deftness at six dimension chess, or some other dodge.

It all comes down to keeping Hillary out of the White House, truth or principles be damned. The only principle left to Trump supporters is the overarching necessity of keeping Hillary out of the Oval Office.

I've already been suspended from TOS, so it's no skin off my back if no one opts to converse with me. I've been married for 30 years, so I'm familiar with extended periods of stony silence.

Interesting you would accuse me of racism when your boy, Trump, is busy keeping Obama's birth certificate in the news.

That's my view.   Those who have the mettle to vote against Trumpism will, God willing,  be left to sweep its ashes into the dustbin.

Fifty two years ago Barry Goldwater ignited a movement with a book entitled "The Conscience of a Conservative".   That appeal to conscience,  that willingness to stand up for principle and oppose what's flat-out WRONG, is needed now more than ever.

As for those who've questioned Woody,  he's my avatar because of my love for American roots music, and because of the ringing truth scrawled defiantly on his instrument of expression - his guitar, my keyboard - THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS.

Bingo!   If Clinton's the next President we will fight for our values, win some and lose some, and enjoy the sleep of the just.  If we help to elect Trump we will have paid the price with our souls.   Conservatism will be conflated with Trumpism,  and the causes of limited government and individual liberty will be gone with the wind.

Exactly.  Electing Trump is like saying we are all in with Liberalism.  No fight left.  The Trump campaign keeps comparing themselves with Reagan but he was limited government all the way.  He believed that the government should stay out of people's personal lives.  Conservatives are making a grave mistake to think that we should vote for lesser of evil.  My mind and soul say that we should vote our conscious and stick to our morals.  We should stand on principle.  That is what I believe that God would be pleased with.  Knowing right from wrong.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

A pretty naive position.

Yeah well, here we are. Remember, Reagan was going to start WW3 and Obama was going to take away all our guns. In the end, Congress is who does everything.

Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.
