The Seahawks have announced their plans for Sunday’s pregame ceremony. According to receiver Doug Baldwin, they will stand together during the national anthem.

They will do so with their arms interlocked....

Shameful the way the news media got the whole story wrong beginning Wednesday, and the false narrative spread like wildfire through the help of social media, and only now the truth of what they have been planning is coming to light.

Doug Baldwin tweeted this today:   Martin Luther King Jr. once famously said “Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”#BuildABridge

And this on Facebook

"We live in the greatest country in the world because we have taken challenges head on. We have made the uncomfortable the norm. On one of the most memorable days in US history, we have an opportunity to unite again for a cause. To show why our country is so great." #BuildABridge

Maybe just maybe the mature way the Seahawks are handling this will end the silliness once and for all and we will see nobody else sitting down making a fool out of themselves,  and we can get back to the main story being the Football Game.

The Seahawks did stand, every one of them arm in arm. Even Jeremy Lane who sat during the last preseason game.   And they were very respectful, no fist in the air or controversial Tweets. I'm proud of them.  On the other side of the field however 4 dolphins took a knee.
