Clinton Campaign Stunner – Dismal Attendance For Hillary Clinton Key Note Address in Kansas City…
Posted on September 8, 2016   by sundance

The National Baptist Convention is being held in Kansas City Missouri with thousands of baptist worshipers from all fifty states.  Hillary Clinton was the key note speaker.

The convention organizers anticipated considerable -and enthusiastic- attendance, amid a predominantly black audience.  The first day of the convention almost every seat was full –SEE HERE–  There was no reason to anticipate the convention attendees would not show up for Hillary Clinton.

The Kansas City Convention Center was set up in the same manner as the prior days general sessions where almost every seat was full.

Then this happened:

The vast majority of Americans have NEVER attended a political rally, yet they still vote.

Very true. These barometers for election success are very questionable at best.

I'd never attend one for any candidate, Dem Or GOP.  Not the class of people I care to be associated with.

Well... it's interesting nonetheless.  Her target audience is attending a convention -- they're all in town from somewhere else, and they might be expected to show up for the keynote speaker.

The fact that they didn't show up, indicates a big lack of enthusiasm -- they'd rather go somewhere else, than listen to her.  They wouldn't have done so if Obama were the keynote speaker.

It's an election harbinger in terms of voter enthusiasm ... but Trump won't be able to capitalize on it.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
In reality attending these things aren't for the general public - they are for exciting and motivating the base, mostly for election GOTV efforts. The only public angle is the obligatory media local media shot, because all politics is local.

If it becomes a pattern of low attendence then it's a very good sign of problems with a campaign.
The Republic is lost.
