This is like saying that Josef Stalin is a stronger leader than Leon Trotsky.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

He loves Putin's dictatorial style.

It's certainly Trump's style as a businessman, and it's almost certainly the way a President Trump would (try to) run his administration.  But of course, the Constitution was written specifically to prevent that sort of thing.

As to Putin: Trump mistakenly believes that he can deal with Putin as he would another businessman.  But Putin's interests are not consistent with that approach; and geopolitical affairs -- especially those involving the US -- don't really lend themselves to that sort of dealing in any case.

But that would be empirically true, wouldn't it?

  • All deserve a trial if accused
Trump has made the point, Russia went into Ukraine because of America's weak leaders; that's one of his gists, whomever calls him "Herr Drumpf" per the Hannity forum is just as much of a racist as they accuse others to be.

Yet Trump wants to go even weaker by lifting the sanctions our current weak leaders imposed.

Oh really?  Please, do explain more.

Reagan would be blasting Trump to smithereens, for these stupid Russian aligning comments.

The same guy who said he'd share SDI technology with the Soviets?

Hardly.

Well, he's comparing apples to apples. I don't really see what the fuss is about.

@TomSea

Putin made the best move available for Russia in light of the clumsy western intervention in the internal affairs of Ukraine. He correctly assessed a lack of resolve on the part of Europe once their scheme to subvert Ukraine back fired, and also that the United States would not directly intervene.

America's weakness is the same one its had for decades...an annoying inability to resist intervening in the affairs of foreign governments. The DC establishment, like its European counterparts, is drunk with power and pretensions of grandeur.

The Augean stables of Congress need to be cleaned...the fifth task of forthcoming Trump administration.

@HonestJohn

The Larry King show isn't owned by Russia, its distributed on the RT network but they have no control over its content.

A fifth grader would understand the difference.

A fifth grader would understand the difference.

And a kindergartener would understand that trashing America is trashing America.

Not to mention that, when you look up Larry King on Wikipedia, it clearly states that his show is broadcast on Hulu... and RT America.

You have failed here.

@HonestJohn Get a brain...Judge Judy is "broadcast" on CBS, it doesn't mean they own the content.

You're not even arguing the point anymore.

And stop mentioning me.  You're already ignored for having no ability to debate without insults (and making spurious and irrational claims with no justification or logical train of thought).

Reagan would be blasting Trump to smithereens, for these stupid Russian aligning comments.  Any GOP member agreeing, is doing at their future career peril.  (Psssst psssst...Mike Pence)

Just as they were our allies against Germany, that role will be repeated vs ISIS and all terror groups across the Middle East.

But Assad stays.   Stuff it.  (not directed at you)

RT has full control over its own content, and that content is pro-Putin by default. If the program ever went where Putin wouldn't like, it'd get yanked.

Ah, no.  That started with his "even a third-grader" comment... which was his very first post to me.

He, right from the get-go, instigated this little flamewar.

You would demand the one targeted be forbidden to respond.

Which is par for the course.

You aren't winning friends, but turning away strangers.  We saw this sort of thing with the Palinites from 2012, too.

But what does it say about a large swath of Republicans who agree with Trump's praise of Putin?

1983.
The Republican leader proudly called the Soviet Union "The evil empire", and Republicans gladly stood up against all the criticism from the left.

2016.
The Republican leader lays praise on the leader of the Russian leader. "If he says nice things about me, I'll say nice  things about him" - Donald J Trump
