Maybe if Trump beat up Senator Cruz some more it would help?

I'll bet you any amount you wish....that Texas will go for Trump!

In case your discernment and reading comprehension is lacking here.... and apparently it is.....

I never said otherwise.  I was addressing the comment...

I think Trump wins Texas, but it will be only by 3-5%  We don't like obnoxious NY Yankee liberals.

That....plus.....many Texas are totally clueless about how much Trump has flip-flopped and about just how nasty and abusive to his "fellow GOPers" he has been during this election process.  They don't spend their time on the internet and they probably tune out the lamestream media or discount it as 'all lies'.  They are blissfully ignorant of the facts, IOW.

@jedidah

Texas never was nor ever will be a toss up for Trump. He will win the state handily in Nov

I know.  We agree.  I'm in Texas and in touch.

You may have (quite understandably) misinterpreted my "earthshaking" comment.  It merely referred to a 5.3 earthquake in Oklahoma a few days ago that also shook Texas; nothing political.

"Atlas Shrugged" book plus the three movies telling the story are in this house.  In this house, we are ready for Galt to show up for us.  We prefer Jesus Christ returning and I believe we are in the last days - Galt is our second choice.

Since the cast was completely different for each movie, which John Galt are you looking forward to see? lol

Off the top of my head, my vote(s) go to:

Galt - AS III
Rearden - AS I or II, both were really good.
Francisco - AS I, he was the right age, and had the correct temperament. Esai Morales (AS II) was good, but too old, as was the actor in AS III.
Ragnar - none, the actor in AS III was too old, and too heavy set.
Dagny - Taylor Schilling, hands down (AS I)
Hugh Akston - Michael O'Keefe (AS I)

You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.

The big liberal Texas cities will not drag the shrew across the finish line in Texas. There are too many Texans who want to preserve what is left of the Constitution.
Principles matter. Words matter.

I hate to tell you, but we are nowhere near the last days yet. That won't happen for another couple billion years.

It shouldn't even be close which is kind of the point.

Its like Trump bragging up a 1 point lead in Utah where McCain won by like 28 percent.

Utah voters are currently punishing Trump by withholding their vote.

Trump will improve in the eyes of Utah voters before the election enough to win there.

Exactly.  In 2008, McCain won Texas by almost 12 points, and in 2012 Romney won Texas by almost 16 points.  Trump is a very weak candidate.

I do not know of a single person voting for him... and I talk with quite the cross section of Republican voters...

You're kidding yourself if you think Trump is going to win in November. He'll win Texas, but he's toast.

If you cannot see that, you're sticking your head in the sand.

I've seen polls where Johnson was actually within MOE for taking the state. That's probably ebbed now, but I'd love to see him do it just to put a scare in some people.

I think the most obvious point that most people keep overlooking is that we have TWO candidates running against each other, and BOTH would have been lucky to pull in even 10 percent of the votes if they were running against anyone but each other.

If you think this was by accident, you must still believe in the Easter Bunny and Santa.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!
