Chicago Police Union Has A Message That The City’s Residents REALLY Dislike

Question: Should I pity the residents of Chicago’s most violent neighborhoods?
The humane side of me says yes, but the logical side argues no. Why? Because these happen to be the same people who frequently pin the blame for their mostly self-made quandaries on the police.
Speaking of which, the head of Chicago’s police union has been urging local officers to avoid pursuing overtime this Labor Day weekend, instead suggesting they spend their free hours with friends and family.
“They’ve been stretched pretty thin, so this is the last weekend they can have with their children, so what we decided to do is just say take a weekend off, don`t work those extra days,” said police union president Dean Angelo, as reported by news station WGN.
And surprise, surprise, both local residents and their chosen heroes hate it.
