More than twice as much spending on infrastructure as Hillary.  Trump is fantastic at spending other peoples' money.

And if he has the chance, the majority of that money would likely go to his companies and his cronies.

I'm not going to be rude, but I am going to be blunt. I am about fed up with having people cite who owns this site and who should be allowed to say something. I gravitated here because I thought this place was a bunch of adults throwing their two cents in on topical items and then going about their day. No harm no foul because everyone has an opinion. Say it and move on. You don't like what someone else says move on and watch kitten vids. Secondly throwing the ownership issue up really pisses me off. It wouldn't if an outside party funded this utopia, but it doesn't. A hat was passed a while back and I kicked in. I like this place and thought it was worth my hard earned cash. That gives me an ownership stake. I don't know what you folks do for a living but I own businesses and when I invest I don't expect partners to screw me and move me out the door. That's what I generically call high school bullshit.

If there is a solid movement to eradicate the Donny haters here stand the F up and tell me to move on. I gladly will. Otherwise shut the F up and actually defend your guy in an effective manor. In the meantime I will post my "comical" nonsense and continue to kick in when necessary and say absurd stuff when necessary.

I don't like Trump but I do give him credit for trying to court the Black vote, hell he might even break 1.5% of their support, but despite some of his supporters claiming that he is the first Republican to court the Black vote he most certainly is not.

Bush courted the black vote in 2000 and got 9%   He did so again in 2004 and got 11%.
 
McCain courted the black vote in 2008 and got 4% 
 
Romney courted the black vote in 2012 and got 6%

Dole got 12% in 1996 and probably didn't do much for it, but for the past 20 years Republicans have tried to get the black vote with little success.

I don't know.  If he came to speak at my church, I wouldn't go.  The people are entitled to attend or not attend according to their own will.  I don't even see it is partisan.  They are rejecting Trump the man.

If an admitted serial adulterer who was claimed to have treated business associates badly and who had lied and slandered his way into a position of importance came to my church for any reason other than to testify to his subsequent conversion to Christ, I'd question him being given access to the pulpit.

That would simply not have happened in the church I grew up in, although politicians there frequently make the rounds at church dinners annually which raise funds for the parish. I think half of them would auto-ignite if they set foot inside the nave, but they're almost all Democrats.

Thank you for clarifying that. I'm not a fan of deceit, no matter who does it. Maybe he can win over some of the Black vote. Getting Blacks off the Democrat Plantation is as important as getting Conservatives off the Republican one, imho.

Any 70 year old billionaire white man shows up in Detroit who claims to "know what it is to: be black/grow up black/be poor/feel your pain", will be marked as another pandering RWM immediately. Beginning with Mitt Romney and going back far as you like....no other Republican candidate can effectively reach out to the black-American as Donald Trump has done here. 

This also soothes over the perceived insult when he refused to meet/speak to the NAACP...as his predecessors.

And of course...why not Detroit?   Why not do some politicking ...after Bubba suggestion the fill/rebuild Detroit with Syrian refugees?

My post was a reaction to the overall risque-type posts over the past week from several members who never miss a chance to cross the line in good taste.

They jump at the chance in their attempt to out-do one another...with raunchiness as their preferred weapon. 

We never allowed that in here in all the years I've been here.   The aforementioned RedHead Thread, which I started BTW, was taken down for a helluva lot less.
