I watched it on A & E when it ran there. Got good ratings, BUT A & E didn't own it, AND it didn't rate as high in they key demographic - 15 to 24. So A & E cancelled it. LONGMIRE, plus the mini-series MARCO POLO [I'm a HUGE Mongol fan] are two reasons I'm seriously considering dumping cable TV, except I'm technologically Neanderthalic, have no idea how Wi-Fi works, and have to worry about my computer and phone situation [I have all three from Cablevision.
Free yourself, my friend, free yourself from cable and satellite. Not only will you feel better when you are the one controlling what you watch and when you want to watch it, but you will be thousands richer at the end of the year.
All you really need is Netflix and maybe a few other subscription services. But, for me Netflix at 8 bucks a month is sufficient for my entertainment needs.
You can watch just about anything you want online. C-Span, Nova, Masterpiece Theater, Amazon prime (subscription) has hundreds of movies on demand, just like Netflix, which has the Marco Polo series among other notable TV series like House of Cards, Breaking Bad, CSINY, a bunch others.
Take the plunge and free yourself from cable.
