Don't laugh, musiclady. I'm getting a growing feeling from around the internet.....that the mob-rule that Trump seems to encourage might someday lead to something similar. Right now it's just "symbolic" execution. But many of them would if they could....lol.
It won't get that far.
Remember, elsewhere at another site, I warned of cults. That before Hitler was Hitler, he was just a charismatic speaker who made funny scowley-faces and waved his hands about. He had no power; and he couldn't do what he proposed, anyway. If, against all odds, he obtained power...the Wiemar Constitution forbade it.
Except Hitler wasn't Hitler until he WAS.
Huey Long was a "New" kind of politician. Until he got a chance to climb up, and we saw what fascism would look like in America. How many people today even KNOW who Huey Long WAS?
That said...it's obvious Trump is going to lose. It's a bullet dodged, but only to step on a land-mine, which is his opponent. The PROBLEM here is the IGNORANCE of the voting public...how they lack the critical-thinking skills to analyze and discount the shills and what they say, of how Cruz and others are supposed "enemies" of the Constitution.
Or of the numerous charges and slanders Roger Stone launched. They couldn't think through, research, and dismiss the charges and the liars putting them forth.
As Jefferson warned, it's impossible to be ignorant and free. We ARE ignorant - that cannot change quickly. But our freedom is in fact rapidly departing.
