I disagree. Trump is vindictive. He will never let it go. Sen Cruz did not offer his support after Trump won the nomination and Trump will fight to destroy him for the rest of Sen Cruz's career in politics. This type of behavior should frighten every Trump supporter. Since the GOP convention I haven't read of any negative comments on Trump by Sen Cruz. I have read that Sen Cruz has gone to campaign events supporting conservatives running for the House and Senate, but nothing else. Sen Cruz is a class act in a period of time where classless behavior is dominant.

A reporter once told Trump his hands looked small and decades later he still gets pictures of Trumps hands in the mail from Trump. Trump is obsessive. If Trump makes it to 105, Ted will still be getting pictures of Trumps hands or whatever

The author doesn't know Texas politics.  Perry took over for Bush midterm in 2000, so he only served 14 years.  Everyone except the delusional liberal knew that the charges were BS. 

Perry was a Democrat up until 1988 even serving as Gore's  Texas campaign chair.  He's not an intuitive conservative, but usually gets there eventually.  He's the good ole boy who will toe the party line.  Cruz would wipe the floor with him in a debate.  Perry may get the moderate vote and crossover democrats, but I don't think it'll be enough to beat Cruz.

Also, I don't think Perry is the type to challenge a standing Senator from his own party.

But if it turns out that he is..... he will join the growing list of folks on my "Dead To Me" list.

If you think it's bad now, imagine a President Trump with access to various alphabet agencies.

Cruz specifically, and conservatives in general, are the biggest threat to Trump and his backers.

Which explains why Trump ran as a Republican in the first place.  To destroy the biggest threat to the left....Cruz and conservatism.

Even worse is the fact that Ted Cruz is a threat to the establishment across the board.

When Ted Cruz described the type of AG he would pick he said it would be someone willing to follow the path to justice in Benghazi and all other cases to wherever it leads "Without regard for party lines".
