I doubt we'll be hearing any of this BS from Darrell Wallace. He knows he's got it good. He;s the only black man in NASCAR.



And speaking of diversity, how many major league sports have midgets and females competing on a level playing field with the "normal" athletes? Seems like the rednecks do it best.

As a rifle platoon leader of the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat team, his troops were once ambushed by Taliban militants. Villanueva, under heavy fire, dragged three wounded soldiers to a nearby school, where they waited for help to arrive. Unfortunately, one of Villanueva's soldiers died not long after being lifted onto a helicopter.

As he heads into his second season with the Steelers, Villanueva recently spoke with ESPN's Jeremy Fowler about 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his recent boycott of the National Anthem due to some of the issues currently affecting the country. Specifically, police brutality is one of the main reasons why Kaepernick has decided to sit during the National Anthem.

"I don't know if the most effective way is to sit down during the National Anthem with a country that's providing you freedom, providing you $16 million a year ... when there are black minorities that are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan for less than $20,000 a year," Villanueva said. "It's his decision. Obviously he has brought up the issue in a great way. But I think if he encourages other players or other people in the stands to sit down, it's going to send the wrong message.

"He has to be a little more careful and look at the big picture of the things that he's doing, because as a service member, I have to understand it. But he's an athlete, he's got a huge platform, he has to see the impact he has on other people's lives."

Villanueva added that while he doesn't agree with the way Kaepernick is bringing attention to the country's current issues, he would be one of the first ones to help him in his cause to address the things that let to Kaepernick's boycott of the National Anthem.

"I will be the first one to hold hands with Colin Kaepernick and do something about the way minorities are being treated in the United States, the injustice that is happening with police brutality, the justice system, inequalities in pay," Villanueva said. "You can't do it by looking away from the people that are trying to protect our freedom and our country."

Villanueva obviously has a different perspective than many other NFL players. While he is one of the lowest-paid starting left tackles in the NFL (he's slated to make $525,000 this season), he said that living in America is like "winning three lotteries." And while he does support Kaepernick's desire to help improve the country, he hopes that it can be done in a way that doesn't negatively impact those who protect Kapernick and every other American moving forward.

"We have a lot of different ways of approaching things -- through our government, through vote, through donations to platforms who are doing great things," Villanueva said. "Whenever you include an entire country in one of those protests, I think you might mislead some people who truly wake up every single morning trying to give everything, including their lives, to protect this country. It's a little bit unfair to group everybody under that category."

Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers was adopted after birth. And his birth mother, Heidi Russo, has some tough words for her biological son.

Russo was not happy with Kaepernick’s disrespect of America, and Tweeted, “There’s ways to make change w/o disrespecting & bringing shame to the very country & family who afforded you so many blessings.”

Colin doesn't even look as half-black as Obama. But frequently they're the worst, because even though they've been brought up in white families and given every advantage plus getting the government advantages that accrue to being black, in this new Obama-racialist society they feel they have to get their street creds by attacking one half or more of their genetic makeup.

But I'm sick of people, usually celebs,  acting out their personal psycho-dramas and calling them political statements.

CK could have said all of his resentment in the locker room interviews, plenty of journalists there; but no, he decided to act this way as his protest.

I believe most pro sports contracts have clauses about "acts which are detrimental to the team, the league, the sport."

Word is that Kaepernick will start Thursday, the last preseason game which mostly allows players on the bubble one last opportunity to showcase their talents for scouts from other teams. It will be interesting to watch how the fans react to him, which I am sure will be boos.

On the 49rs Fan forum in their poll, 68% say he needs to be cut.

There was a high school kid in Detroit who was being courted by the big universities as a football player till he was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend and the first day out of jail he assaulted a school security guard. He killed his own career before it ever started because nobody wants the trouble.

Yes that is true but you need to consider the scouts for all teams.   Like the Saudi Scimitars , the Somali Pirates, the Mecca Marauders, the Tora Bora Blasters, the Tehran Terrors and the Pakistani Packers.

Colin Kaepernick has made headlines in recent days for his decision to sit during the National Anthem. According to the mainstream media, his reasoning is simple (because the only thing that is comprehendible to the majority of Americans is a soundbite) - police brutality and the oppression of people of color.

Implicit in that simple narrative is one thing unsaid - it's Trump's fault... and Hillary will fight the good fight to support black people.

However, if one took the time to actually read Kaepernick's full interview transcript, the narrative is very different, and not at all what the mainstream would like you to hear...

We should all remember, Kaepernick played superbly when they had Jim Harbaugh as coach, a football genius from all I can see.  The last 2 years, he's played poorly, I don't how much he played but SF had a dog of year recently.
